Reflections.
Kirtland Ohio February 1835
The blessing of Brigham Young was as follows, that he should be strong in body, that he may go forth and gather the Elect preparatory to the great day of the coming of the Lord, and that he might be strong and mighty, declaring the tidings to nations that know not God, that he may add ten talents, that he may come to Zion with many sheaves. He shall go forth from land to land, from sea to sea and shall behold Heavenly Messengers going forth, & his life shall be prolonged, and the Holy Priesthood is confirmed upon thee. that he may do wonders in the name of Jesus. that he may cast out devils, heal the sick, raise the dead, open the eyes of the blind, go forth from land to land and from sea to sea, and that heathen nations shall even call him God himself, if he did not rebuke them.
(Brigham was set apart by the three Witnesses)
Part of the Preface of the Times and Seasons news paper November 1839 (first issue)
We wish to make a source of light and instruction to all those who may peruse its columns, by laying before them, in plainness, the great plan of salvation which was devised in heaven from before the foundation of the world, as made known to the saints of God, in former, as well as latter days: ; and is like its Author, the same in all ages, and changeth not.

Current Projects
Last project

1829 restored Bible printed in Boston
I thought I would give a quick update on current projects. I am getting pretty happy with the way that my bindings are looking. This week I will be doing right around 22 books. 12 are pre-ordered and 10 will be in the Grandin Building for the 181st anniversary of the printing of the first edition of the Book of Mormon. Below are 4 copies of the Book of Mormon 1830's edition and the 1835 Doctrine and Covenants.

Some custom journals made for one of the Missionaries here in Palmyra.Wednesday, February 23, 2011
Today Of all days
Overall fantastic day today! It amazes me that every once and a while I can make something beautiful. Something that you want to share with other people. It sounds kind of weird but sometimes I feel like the little kid that did a good job on a homework assignment or with a picture that they drew. I want to run home and show Mom and Dad.
My tickets to the Kirtland TempleThis evening I had the opportunity to meet the Man that Built the Smith Cabin here in Palmyra. Pretty neat presentation on log cabins and barns in upstate New York.
